Gallery Designs is part of a third-generation, family-owned lamp manufacturing
company. We are proud of the fact that we still manufacture sixty to seventy
percent of our lamps and shades in our factory in Texas, after sixty years in
business. Over the years, our company has built a great reputation in the industry,
and we continue to do so year after year.
Paul and Maxine Varney (grandparents) started the parent company in 1947 in
Dallas, Texas. Tom and Julie Pinnell, grandson and wife, run the day to day
operations, as well as Gene and Jerry Pinnell, who are still active in the company.
Gallery Designs started approximately 14 years ago in order to pursue a fashion
forward, higher-end customer. Four years ago, Becky Fletcher, designer
extraordinaire, joined our design team and has brought to Gallery Designs an
insightfulness in design that transcends the ordinary.
Gallery Designs has a great advantage over other lamp companies because we
continue to manufacture in the US, rather than importing our product. We have
the ability to manufacture cast metals, marble and fossil stone, and glass into
our lamps and silks, chenilles, designer wallpapers and exquisite trims in the shades.
All to achieve unique and high-quality designer lamps.
